About the image

I used a Profoto A2 with a no name brand umbrella. The umbrella is silver inside and I bounced the light off the silver umbrella and through the diffusion onto my subject. The light was just above her head height, tilted slightly down and towards camera. I used a textured black/blue backdrop that I made with a black poly board on camera left, as well as a fan on camera left to blow her hair and the fabric. My make up artist threw the fabric to get it falling as you see it in the picture.
