What is Rock My Shot?
Rock My Shot is a community where you can enter monthly photo challenges for a chance to win prizes, learn new photography techniques from your peers, and find free educational content from Sal Cincotta.
Is Rock My Shot free to join?
Yes! You can create a profile, submit images and check out our educational content for free.
What are the rules?
+ The image must be directed and created by you and adhere to the challenge of the month.
+ Image can and should be presented as a final image. Details matter.
+ Composites can be used.
+ Submit all image metadata.
+ Create and submit a lighting diagram. Use lightingdiagrams.com to create one for free.
+ Share any BTS images to help showcase the setup for your image.
+ Resolution should be as high as possible. Image quality is important to judging your image.
+ NO watermarks.
How many images can I submit?
There is no limit to the number of images you can submit. However, if you upload images from the same shoot or set (where the model has the same look), we ask that you select no more than 1 unique image per shoot/set.
Can I submit the same image for multiple challenges?
Yes, absolutely.
Can I change some of the information on my entry after I submit it?
Please email support@behindtheshutter.com with a link to your entry and we will be happy to update it for you!
I changed my mind. How do I delete my entry?
Visit your entries page, locate the entry you’d like to delete and click the “delete entry” link below it. Fair warning: this can’t be undone!
What are badges and how do I get them?
Earn badges by entering photo challenges, winning challenges, and completing other actions on the site. We’re adding new ones all the time so make sure to check out your account page for a full list.
How do I share my badges?
Visit your account page and check out the list of your earned badges. Download the image to share it!
Can I enter images that have been submitted elsewhere?
Yes!
