“Hail to the Chief’ was photographed in the fire truck bay with all the grip and gear for the local fire departments situation awareness training center. After a long day of teaching his students to rescue and save lived from flipped over vehicles using the jaws of life and scaling a six story building while on fire, I asked the Chief to sit down real quick and snap a portrait of him. It’s gritty and raw and real, just like the job itself.
