About the image

The idea of this image was to create a bit of a luxury-bling-bling-Caribbean-mermaidy-vibe. Outfit and jewelry choice was reduced to nude colors and sparkles, – like representing a skin-feel (but not naked) and the sunlight reflections in the water/ waterdrops – this also to give room to emphasize the complimentary colors of the magnificent turquoise tones of the sea with the warm tones of the skin. The light setup is a simple, handheld speed-light with two MagMod gels over each other (cyan + aqua) on camera left directing from a bit behind the model. the whole scene is covered by a roofed terrace with act like a huge diffuser from above.
