About the image
Genre: Portrait
I picked up an A7RV at ShutterFest from Pixel Connection and some Magmod stuff just before, so i’ve been looking for ways to use all of this new gear. Baylee and I were shooting some hard light portraits and I wanted to play with the gels as well, so we found a shaded corner to make it easier to kill the ambient further.
I set up my camera to kill most of the available light, if not all, and set my gels up along each wall pointed behind Baylee. I used a Magmod 24 MagBox for my keylight, and I needed nearly all of my AD600 to throw enough light. Happy to have picked up the new gear, because I was able to create this shot, which I wouldn’t have been able to do prior.
