About the image

This shot of Abi was made with Paul C. Buff monolights. A White Lightning X3200 fired through a Photoflex medium LiteDome is the main light. An older White Lightning Zap1600 fired through a red gel to match the lipstick is the background light. Abi twisted around towards the camera for the photo. This affect not only caused her hair to present as moving but also created some interesting body lines. We shot about 10 photos and I chose the strongest of the bunch. The final image was minimally edited with Photoshop.
