About the image
Genre: Wedding
This image was from a wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and was the last image we took at the beach during creatives. After all the family photos were done, we really only had about 10 minutes for creatives. I would have liked to shoot with the sun behind them, but there were just more hotels on the other side, so this side seemed like a more interesting background with the mountains. Because this was a destination wedding, the most powerful light I brought was an AD200. For this shot I used the AD200 and a speedlight together to give me the power I needed. Both had Magspheres on them. I shot this from pretty far back from them so I could zoom and and compress the background so it was difficult to tell my wife, who was my assistant, when to throw the veil. Amazingly, the first try is the final shot that you see here!
