About the image

This portrait has been taken in my small 4×4 meter studio space. The background is a white cotton bedsheet clamped to a backdrop stand. For this maternity portrait the client wished for simplicity, combining a jeans with implied nudity was wished. Her flawless bronzed skin was meant to glow with a subtle wet look,- she was being constantly sprayed with a fine mist. This was all that was added as “adornment”. The posing is a self-embrace complementing the vibe of being in a calm, meditative centered, expecting state. The makeup is minimum, natural and her hair is styled in a wet look manner. The main and only light is a a 1,5m big octa double diffused soft box with grid, Godox AD 400pro to camera right.
