About the image

Genre:
This image is a test of pairing a new Canon 50 mm 2.8 with my old faithful Canon EOS Rebel XSi. Venue was an AZ old Ghost Town. The Cayote Headdress was provided by two hippies that were caretakers and property security guards. Lighting was minimalist / Keep it Simple Stupid (KISS). Shot late mid-day with the sun at my back in an area with consistent lighting. Low power fill flash was provided by a Canon Speedlight with a built-in defuser to add illumination to the eyes and bring out details from the shadows. Used manual focus to get sharp details in the narrow depth of field. This image encouraged me to use the niffy fifty prime more frequently.
