About the image

This client loves romance novels and wanted to create a piece of art with that inspiration in mind. We invited her to London with us to get Elizabeth Tower in the background. The location had this passageway that allowed people to walk under the street. It has these amazing bricks and archways that we wanted to use to bring the focus to the client. We got lucky with a stormy day and were shooting gin the rain so the background was already dark. We lit her with a Profoto B10+ at half power. You can see the light from the strobe bouncing off the ceiling in the BTS image. We had to keep this setup easy so we could work fast and not prevent people from moving around us. We did a sky swap for the final image to bring in even more drama and nailed the romance novel look she wanted!
