This is an example of a “low tec/ hack” studio shoot in my small studio space, about 4×4 meters. The idea was to create a fashion vibe portrait focusing on my client’s femininity, soft expression and beauty. The background is a white cotton bed-sheet clamped to a backdrop stand. Vivienne is wearing very affordable wardrobe and jewelry. She is a make-up artist (IG @vivsbeauty) and took care of a natural soft look and the choice for open soft wavy hair is complementing the intention of the theme. Accessories are chosen in gold to match the metal ring in the dress. The red color is chosen deliberately to show strength and cutout reveal her toned body. As for the retouching cool tones are in harmony with the warm red. The backdrop is toned to match her eye color. The posing is directed to express centered, self-aware power, combined with sensuality and integrity. The two light setup consists out of a 1,5m big octa double diffused soft box with grid, Godox AD 400pro to camera left, bouncing across to a white wall on camera right. In addition a Godox V860III canon flash on low power is directed camera right towards the ceiling behind the camera for a fill.
