About the image

A friend of mine let me experiment with his Nanlight Pavotubes. I thought I’d use them in combination as both lights and props to create a Tron inspired type of look. I wanted it grainy and the color to feel bright yet vintage. This worked out well with constant lights, as the lack of power forced me to shoot at a higher ISO—form and function. I did supplement the face lighting by adding a Godox AD400 with snoot to send light into the visor. Lastly, I shot through a LensBaby Omni Filter (lens mounted prism) in order to multiply the beams and add reflective hazing.
