The young man is an up and coming actor and because of his personality, we initially started with headshots but moved toward some images laced with a bit of attitude, simple but seriousness expression. For the lighting I used my favorite AD200’s. I used 2 for edge lighting and one for the main light. The edge/rim lights were set at 1/8 power with gridded softboxes, but close enough to give a hard lit edge light on the client. The main light was a 28″ EZ Loc softbox with inner and outer baffle @ 1/4 power. I always love using the Westcott Eyelighter (version 1) in order to give those dark areas in the face a necessary fill.
