We created this on my studio’s shimmer wall backdrop using a combination of a strobe and LEDs for lighting. The main light is a Godox DP 600 studio flash at 1/64th power with a snoot attached, it’s set about 8 feet away from the model. The color lights are two Godox TL 120 tube lights set behind the model and one Rotolight Neo 3 for a little bit of color fill. The blur effect was created in-camera using a Lensbaby Composer Pro and Edge 80 lens. I like using strobes in combination with constant lights, if I decide to use a fairly slow shutter speed I can ensure that my subject is sharp.
