About the image

This image was captured using a single light source combined with a snoot modifier positioned above the model. The objective, which was effectively achieved, was to generate the impression that the model was adorned with a mask, when in fact, it’s the interplay of light and shadow created by the perforations in her hat. A back drop was not needed as the studio was dark.
