About the image

Dying is so painful for everyone, but dying at the early age of 7 is even more painful for everyone. This image was captured during a funeral that I was hired to shoot for the little boy and his family. My emotions were everywhere, but as a professional you have to keep your composure. Indeed it was a challenge to do so. The shot was under the funeral tent at the gravesite. Natural light was used in order to not draw any attention to me. The lens was a Sigma 70-200mm 2.8, Camera Nikon D700.
