ROY G BIV! A self portrait using a prism, photographed in the late afternoon so that the sun would be low in the sky. This is an idea I’ve had in the back of my head for a while, and when I saw the natural light challenge I thought this would be perfect. The key is to black out the room as much as possible to get the most color in the spectrum. I used black foam core to both block the window light and also hold the prism in a cutout hole. My backdrop is also another piece of black foam core.
