About the image

Genre:
This particular shot stands out as one of my favorites due to its simplicity in setup yet remarkable outcome. At first glance, it appears as though she’s wearing a mask, but in reality, the intriguing effect is created by the shadows cast by her hat. I opted for a straightforward one-light setup employing a snoot modifier. With no need for a backdrop, we positioned ourselves in a dimly lit studio, free from any background interference. Setting up was a breeze, taking less than a minute. However, achieving the perfect angle was the real challenge, requiring numerous tries before we succeeded. I positioned the light fitted with the snoot modifier slightly above her, while she tilted her head at an angle, and with precision, I captured the moment. Despite the multiple attempts, our perseverance and attention to detail ultimately paid off.
