About the image

This was shot in a darken studio. We used a black colored seamless paper for the background and the floor. We wanted to achieve a 1940s Hollywood low key glamour look. I used one Godox TT600 2.4G wireless speed light. It was mounted in a rectangle softbox with a honeycomb grid to direct and control the flash. I placed the softbox off her right shoulder and above her. I had her sitting on the floor with her back to and turn slightly right towards the softbox. I wanted the light to hit on the right edge of her and falling off towards her left. We took a few test shots and this was the final result
