About the image

This was an exercise in light fall-off using a key light placed on a boom arm over the model’s head and set very close. Since the light is so close, the fall-off is dramatic and does not interfere with the rest of the light in the shot. I actually photographed this with the key in blue and the rim lights in orange, but I completely flipped them in post. The results would be the same for any color choice but I always like to stick with complimentary tones. A Prism Lens FX Lucid Dream filter was used to soften everything and add atmosphere.
