About the image

For this image, I positioned Miranda against white seamless paper. I used one strobe with a yellow gel and grid behind Miranda pointing toward the backdrop. This created a yellow gradient. I placed two strobes, with barndoors and red gels for rim lights (my lighting setup software does not have barndoors, so I used strip boxes — but I usually use strip boxes for rim lights anyway). Keylight was a softbox with blue gel. Then for fun, i added a fifth strobe with a green gel. I know — green never looks good on skin. But I was being a rebel.
