About the image

This self portrait was shot in studio. I used a Xplor 300 for my main light with a blue gel and box modifier with a grid. There is a hair light speedlight with a red gel and grid, and a light for the background with an orange gel with no modifier. The backdrop is actually grey in color, but the gel allows for the color to shift! The halo was made in camera with a laser by quickly bringing it above my head. It was a few inches away from center, and I photoshopped it to the middle of my head.
