About the image

This image was created using two lighting sources against a black paper backdrop. I used a strobe equipped with an octabox and a grid, positioned high and to the left of the camera, to achieve a Rembrandt lighting effect. Additionally, I placed a constant light panel with an orange gel below the main light, directed at the dress, to capture the motion blur as the dress moved. I set the shutter speed to 1/5s. Since I don’t have an assistant, I mounted my camera on a tripod and used a shutter timer. You can see me in the behind-the-scenes photo, actively waving the dress. It’s one of my favorite shots from 2023.
