About the image

Genre:
This image was taken on location in a garden park, under a weeping willow. For equipment, I used a Canon R6 with a 24-105 lens. The image was shot using an aperture of F5.6, a shutter speed of 1/250s, and a focal length of 105mm at ISO 100. In this image, the sun is to my right and slightly behind the model and cascading through the willow tree branches. I lit the model using a Canon 600EX-RT with a Westcot Octa mini modifier. This set up was attached to a painter’s pole held by my assistant. My assistant placed the light in a traditional beauty light position to light the model’s face. In post, the first thing I did was remove the green color cast from the skin tone. All of the green from the tree leaves reflected in the skin, so I had to color correct. I then cleaned up the hair slightly to get rid of some flyaways, softened the skin just a touch to give the image a soft dreamy feel, and then added a very subtle blue(shadow)/orange(highlight) color grade, then finished the image with a slight vignette.
