About the image

The image was taken during a destination senior trip to the Alvord Desert in Oregon. We had to cross the mountains to get there, and stopped at a mountain lake to have lunch and take advantage of the beautiful surroundings to create a completely different look. The shot was taken on the far edge of the lake with a handheld 200 watt strobe with a bubble wrap “sock” over it to disperse the light.
