About the image

This is Seth. He’s a famous dirt bike daredevil. He’s most at home in the sand dunes jumping his dirt bike, so my idea was to showcase the chaos he lived by re-creating his living room at his home away from home and setting it on fire. This was shot with a Nikon F3, 100 iso Fuji Provia slide film and a 16mm fisheye. The lighting was provided by a Norman 400b, bare bulb, handheld off to the left. I was about 3′ from the subject. I had to work quick, because the fire got big, and hot, fast.
