About the image

This image was taken about 60 minutes after sunrise. The subject was surrounded by tall buildings on all sides creating a very strong top down light. The sun was just starting to peak over the building in the background, just off set to camera right of the image. The subjects face and front of the bike were light with a 20 degree grid in a 7 inch reflector on a strobe. The side of the bike was light with a 7 inch reflector on a strobe. Black Cinifoil was used to keep the strobe from spilling light onto the foreground. (In the lighting diagram, the black reflectors represent the buildings.)
