My father-in-law wanted an early morning portrait, but was feeling a bit chilled. I suggested a wrap-up in aluminium foil. He was game. We were too early to get direct sunlight on him from behind, so a 3×4 ft softbox was set up to mimic the sun. I positioned him (prior to wrapping) such that the softbox could be hidden behind the rocks (camera left).
After a few minutes of me shooting him in the foil he decided he was warmed up and ready for his sitting. Little did he realize that THE SHOT was already in the box. BTS photos show him tearing out of the foil, and the image he liked best, in his favourite red jumper/sweater.
