As an artist, I draw inspiration from diverse sources, but the masters of old particularly captivate my imagination. Sculptures from antiquity astound me in their ability to convey motion and emotion through stillness and subtle details. To breathe life into motionless stone is a magic I strive to recreate in my own work. Beyond the ancients, I'm enraptured by modern photographers who challenge perceptions and expand the limits of the possible. Their boundary-pushing spirit drives me to experiment with unconventional techniques that unlock new creative potential. Though centuries may separate these muses, they share a restless originality that ignites my passion for capturing the world in bold new ways. My artistic vision is shaped by their awe-inspiring examples; their legacies compel me to contribute my own unique mark to this timeless creative dialogue. Each moment before me is an opportunity to see with fresh eyes. I search for that new perspective, that telling light, that reveals the heart of my subject. My aim is connection—an image that stirs emotion, that resonates with the viewer's spirit. This is why I create and I create in black and white. I want my art to awaken, to inspire, to open eyes that perhaps had forgotten how to see. There is beauty waiting to be unveiled, stories yearning to be told. I am blessed to capture even a glimpse of life's boundless meaning. The viewer completes the work by bringing their own experiences to it.
