About the image

Genre:
This was taken during a senior shoot where Matthew wanted some different, out-of-the-box stuff. I loved the background here and we took some with my Westcott FJ-400 but as I was posing him I noticed how the sun was dappling through the leaves of the tree next to him, making some really cool shadows. So we shut the light off and went with full-sun hard lighting through the tree leaves. Turned out to be one of my favorite shots, ever. The tree was to his right/my left and the sun was starting to get little low, enough to give a lil’ more golden light, but still high and bright enough to come through and make those shadows, it was up behind my left shoulder. **ISO 64
