About the image

This image has a bit of conflict, which is one of the reasons I love this concept so much. Finn is fascinated by nuclear energy, and a big advocate for it and wanted to do a shoot with the stacks in the background. They wanted conflicting imagery, with an almost apocalyptic look to it. We purchased a vintage gas mask online (probably not the smartest thing we did… but we survived) and shot in front of a soybean field with an old wood and barb wire fence. The textures and lighting made for great black & white conversions. Lit by a Westcott FJ-400 to my left.
